A Rover 213 just like this.

Yes, it also manifested itself as a Honda Ballade.

I got it! We got re-runs of that show here in the Netherlands until a few years ago.

Really? That’s weird. Did you enjoy it?

It was probably due to Dutch content being expensive to produce, and thus the public broedcasters use cheap english content, whereas the commercial broadcasters tend to use the more expensive american content.

Well, didn’t really watch it that much, though I sometimes catched some laughable parts.

Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any Dutch TV. French, German, Swedish, Norwegian even but no Dutch.

Next thing you’ll tell me is that Fawlty Towers is big in the Netherlands.

Well most dutch programs are either gameshows or reality programs, so that’s not really something other countries, apart from Belgium, would broadcast. And most of the dutch series aren’t really on the level of Scandinavian or German series, so that probably explains it.

Don’t worry Fawlty Towers isn’t popular over here, maybe it was sometime ago, however I don’t remember. John Cleese was over here a fee weeks ago though, they painted a bicycle tunnel near my University with a ministry of silly walks theme, and he opened it.
